M.I. Tobias is best known for its rack lever watches of the 1820s. Tobias made mostly fusees mid to high grade watches in the first half of the 1800's. Watches produced by the Michael Tobias's company were signed according to their grade with different names. The top grade watches beared the name “M.I. Tobias & Co.” with the elite of these signed “Lord Street”.
