Zenith Pocket Watches
Zenith began in 1865 with the concept of bringing all the watchmaker craftsmen under one roof. Previously the watchmakers worked from their homes, the new concept improved quality control and reduced the time required to make a watch. In 1969 Zenith introduced the legendary "El Primero" chronograph movement, the first chronograph with integrated automatic winding. When the quartz movement came on the scene Zenith preserved all its El Primero tooling and eventually would supply movements famous watch makers such as the Rolex Daytona.
